…disrupt government red tape with AI.

You know that suffocating bureaucracy drowning government agencies in paperwork?

A tiny, 15-person startup from Biddeford, Maine, just launched a full-blown AI assault on it, and raised $15 million to do so.

Meet Conductor AI, the brainchild of three ex-Palantir insiders who are on a mission to slice through compliance chaos and hand agencies the power to say “yes” faster.

And here’s why investors should start sweating… in a good way.

Government Approval Hell, Solved by AI

Let’s set the scene:

Thousands of dense, conflicting policies. Weeks spent decoding what you can or can’t do. Paper cuts, stress, and delays. Do these sound familiar?

Conductor AI’s software reads those compliance manuals so your analysts don’t have to. It is almost as if ChatGPT meets legal analysts, but in a way that is built for secure, classified environments.

It doesn’t just summarize; it atomizes rules, classifies documents, and tells you what’s permissible in seconds.

“We’re not just speeding things up, we’re finally helping the government get to yes,” said co-founder Zachary Long.

Yes, please.

The Brains Behind the Machine

Conductor AI was founded in June 2023 by Long, Eric Schwartz, and Ben Fichter, a trio forged in the data-driven fire of Palantir and defense-tech.

These guys aren’t new to the game. They have done long ran data science projects for the U.S. Army. Schwartz helped overhaul DOJ workflows. Fichter built secure encryption tools at PreVeil.

They know how to sell into government, they know what’s broken, and they’re already winning contracts with the Air Force, Space Force, and the Secretary of Defense.

What’s the Money Saying?

In the second week of April, they announced a $15M Series A, led by Lux Capital, with backing from Jack Altman’s Alt Capital, Haystack Ventures (Semil Shah), Abstract Ventures, Sunflower Capital, Also Capital, and Forward Deployed VC.

That’s some heavy-hitting, Silicon Valley validation for a company not based in SF or NYC, and only 15 people strong.

This isn’t Your Average Compliance Automation Tool

What they built is a classified-environment-ready, AI-first solution with real government traction before Series B.

And the market? It is massive. The U.S. federal government alone processes billions of documents annually, with billions more spent on compliance overhead.

Early Conductor clients have already slashed the time spent on review by 50%.

If you don’t think that’ll turn heads at every federal agency or Fortune 100 company trying to avoid regulation fines, think again.

Watch this company. Better yet, get in on the next round. Because in a world choking on policy and regulation, this is a liberating solution.
